Hello!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

My name is Angela Costi. I’m an occupational therapist here on the beautiful Gold Coast. I’m the founder of Clarity & Me, a mum to two gorgeous kids, and a friend for a good coffee.

I was drawn to occupational therapy for young people for many reasons. I’m the mum whose house always seems to be full of kids -  mine, their friends, the neighbours, ones I’ve never seen before - and I love it. I love the energy, optimism, and potential that young people have. I get a huge amount of joy from seeing kids happy.

I also know that they offer their fair share of tests! Being both a parent and an occupational therapist has given me valuable insights into the diverse needs of our own family. This perspective strongly influences my commitment to creating inclusive and supportive environments for all my clients. I bring a compassionate and understanding approach to my work, drawing on personal experiences and tailoring it to the unique needs of each individual and family I serve.

I know they work, because I use them myself!

Why I do what I do

As part of my study to become a Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Southern Cross University, we travelled to Vietnam. This was an extraordinary experience and left me with even greater levels of empathy for the young, elderly, and vulnerable. I was honoured to meet the head of The Blue Dragon Charity, a foundation that fights against, and assists the victims of, human trafficking. I continue to donate to this important organisation to this day.

Because I want to make a difference however I can.

I believe that starts at home and in the family. Clarity & Me is my offering to the local community, providing a quality, unrushed service to parents, children, and families. I bring expertise in autism, developmental delays, and sensory processing differences from both my study and personal experience. I am a registered Mindfulness Meditation teacher and engage in my own meditation practice daily. I am a certified massage therapist, Circle of Security Facilitator, and Rhythm and Music Self-Regulation practitioner.

I am passionate about lifelong learning and mentorship and have completed additional professional development in the following areas:

  • DIR (Developmental, Individual-differences, and Relationship-based model)

  • Sensory processing

  • Emotional regulation

  • Toileting

I have spent many long hours developing my skills, and I am so grateful for the variety of different services and techniques I am able to use to get the best for my clients. I invested all this time and energy in these skills for one reason:

Because I want to help.

I want to help you, and your family. And specifically, I want to help children.

At my core I just want to play. So, for my days to be about leading guided play sessions with incredibly precious little people just fills my heart with joy. Sometimes, I can’t believe that this is my job.

I’d love to have the opportunity to work with you and your children. I’m warm, fun, and playful, and have a lot of expertise and love to share. (That might explain the six guinea pigs and the Cavoodle!)

Hopefully my site explains a lot of what I do and offer, but if you have any questions or concerns at all – hey, let’s have a chat.

We can talk about what Clarity & Me can specifically offer your child and you can recommend me a new podcast!

Maybe it could happen over a coffee, or three. (I am a friend after all!)
